OMNIA SHIELD SUITE

Document version 2.1 — updated 31 July 2026

This notice describes the processing of personal data connected with OMNIA SHIELD SUITE, an Android digital-security application designed around data minimisation, transparency and predominantly local processing.

1. Data controller

Andrea Merluzzo
Email: info@omniashield.com
Website: omniashield.com

2. Local-first principle

Analysis and classification functions operate mainly on the device. SMS notifications, email and social notifications, notification content, analysis results, counters, preferences and local history are not intended to be uploaded automatically to OMNIA servers.

The app does not directly access email accounts or complete third-party conversations. Modules that depend on notifications process only information made available by Android after the user voluntarily enables Notification Access.

3. Data processed on the device

Depending on enabled modules and permissions, the app may locally process:

  • call-related technical information made available through the call-screening role;
  • notification title, sender, source application and preview;
  • numbers present or absent from contacts, within Android limits;
  • contacts voluntarily selected for SOS or trusted-contact functions;
  • location requested during a user-initiated SOS function;
  • files or content voluntarily shared with OMNIA;
  • settings, switch status, counters, technical events and risk results;
  • language, theme and other local preferences.

4. Notification Access

Notification Access is optional and enabled by the user in Android settings. It may be required for SMS, Email, Social, Cyberbullying, Young People and Sensitive Content protection.

Information obtained through this access is used for enabled security functions, not for advertising, data sales or commercial profiling. Revoking access limits the related modules.

5. Calls, contacts and SOS

Call Protection may use Android's call-screening role to assess unknown calls and apply user-configured rules.

Contacts access is used only to distinguish known numbers and allow voluntary selection of trusted contacts. Location is requested only for a visible SOS function initiated by the user.

Where the user chooses to send or share information through SMS, WhatsApp, maps or another service, subsequent processing is governed by the selected external service.

6. License Engine, Firebase and device identifier

OMNIA uses Firebase services and a License Engine to activate and maintain the Trial, Free plan, Basic, Premium, Family, Organization and Enterprise licences, device transfers and device slots.

The following may be processed:

  • a pseudonymous technical device identifier;
  • plan and licence status;
  • first activation date and Trial expiry;
  • Family slot status;
  • tokens or technical references required for licence verification and transfer;
  • product identifiers and purchase-verification status.

These data do not include SMS, email or social-notification content, the complete address book, photographs or local analysis history. They are used to prevent abuse, restore purchased rights and prevent reinstalling or changing devices from improperly resetting limits.

7. Google Play purchases

Personal licences and the permanent Call Rules Engine add-on are one-time, non-consumable digital products. Google Play manages payment, receipts, refunds and the purchasing account. OMNIA receives only the technical data required to verify the purchase and grant the licence or entitlement; it does not receive complete payment-card details.

Verification may require the product identifier, purchase token and transaction-related technical information necessary to confirm entitlement.

8. Trial, plans and transfer

The Trial lasts 21 days from the recorded first activation. At expiry, the app moves to the Free plan unless a valid permanent licence exists.

Basic, Premium, Family, Organization and Enterprise licences have no ordinary expiry. A transfer moves licence rights only; local data, counters, history, contacts and preferences are not transferred automatically.

9. Purposes and legal bases

Processing is performed to:

  • provide requested functions and save preferences;
  • protect the user from potentially risky events;
  • verify Trial, purchases, licences and authorised devices;
  • prevent fraud and abuse;
  • manage support and voluntary communications;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases may include performance of the service, consent, legitimate interests in security and abuse prevention, or a legal obligation.

10. Recipients and sharing

OMNIA does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by strictly necessary technical providers, including Google Play and Firebase, under their respective roles and terms.

Locally analysed content is disclosed to third parties only where the user voluntarily initiates sharing or disclosure is required by law.

11. Retention

Local data remain on the device until deleted by the user, app data are cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to system backups outside OMNIA's control.

Licence and Trial data are retained as necessary to maintain purchased entitlement, manage transfers, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations. Support requests are retained for the time necessary to handle them.

12. Security

Reasonable safeguards are used, including encrypted channels, Firestore access rules and pseudonymous technical identifiers. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Users should protect their device with a screen lock, keep Android updated and never share transfer codes or Google credentials.

13. Children

The app is intended for adults. Features concerning minors must be configured and used by a parent or guardian in compliance with applicable law and must not be used for covert or unlawful surveillance.

14. GDPR rights and data deletion

Where applicable, data subjects may exercise access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent by contacting info@omniashield.com. Requests should include, without passwords or OTP codes, the technical information needed to identify the licence or device.

Deletion requests concerning remote licence, Trial and device data are verified and handled within the time limits required by applicable law. Deletion may remove the ability to restore Trial status, transfers, slots or device-linked entitlements, subject to retention obligations and proof-of-purchase requirements.

Data stored only on the device can be deleted or changed directly through the app or Android settings. A complaint may be lodged with the competent supervisory authority.

15. International transfers

Use of Google Play and Firebase may involve processing outside the European Economic Area under safeguards adopted by those providers. OMNIA does not independently upload locally analysed content to its own servers.

16. Changes

This notice may be updated following technical, legal or organisational changes. The applicable version is the one published in the app and on the official website.
