OMNIA SHIELD SUITE

These Terms of Use govern the installation and use of the OMNIA SHIELD SUITE application. By installing, accessing or using the app, the user confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms.

1. Purpose of the app

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE is a modular platform supporting personal and family digital security. The app provides informational, preventive, analytical and assistance tools designed to identify potential risks related to calls, SMS, notifications, email, social media, cyberbullying, sensitive content, youth protection and emergency situations.

The app does not guarantee the elimination, blocking or detection of every threat and does not replace user judgement, professional services, competent authorities or public emergency services.

2. Module operation

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE includes separate modules, including:

  • Security Dashboard and statistics;
  • Call Protection;
  • SMS Protection;
  • Email Protection;
  • Social Media Protection;
  • Cyberbullying Protection;
  • Sensitive Content Protection;
  • Youth Protection;
  • SOS and emergency contacts;
  • Communication Centre, settings, permissions and licences.

Each module operates only when enabled by the user and within the limits of the permissions, authorisations, device settings and plan available.

3. Minimum age and supervision

Independent use of the app is reserved for adults. Minors may use OMNIA SHIELD SUITE only under the supervision and with the authorisation of a parent, guardian or other legally responsible person, in accordance with applicable law.

The responsible adult must ensure that the use of protection, monitoring and assistance modules is appropriate, proportionate and compliant with the rights of the minor and any other persons involved.

4. Permissions, authorisations and configuration

Users choose which modules to enable and which permissions to grant. Some functions require specific Android authorisations, notification access, contacts, location, calls or other device capabilities.

Correct operation may depend on:

  • Android version and configuration;
  • permissions granted or revoked;
  • Notification Listener access;
  • battery optimisation and automatic-start settings;
  • restrictions applied by the device manufacturer;
  • availability of network, GPS, battery and external applications;
  • changes introduced by the operating system or device updates.

The user is responsible for correctly configuring the app and the device.

5. Automated analysis and artificial intelligence

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE may use rules, classifiers, algorithms and analysis models, mainly on the device, to identify risk indicators.

The assessments produced are probabilistic and may generate false positives or false negatives. Alerts, classifications, scores and notifications are support tools and do not constitute certifications, final decisions, professional advice or binding determinations.

Users remain responsible for verifying information and deciding what action to take following any alert.

6. SOS, location and emergencies

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE is not a public emergency service and does not replace 112 or any other emergency number.

SOS functions may depend on mobile coverage, data connection, GPS, battery, permissions, device configuration, availability of external applications and the accuracy of selected contact details.

Delivery of calls, SMS, messages, notifications or location data is not guaranteed. In a real emergency, users must contact the competent emergency services directly.

7. Plans, free trials, purchases and licences

The availability of certain functions may depend on the active plan, including Free, Basic, Premium and Family, as well as any professional or promotional licence.

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE may offer free trial periods providing temporary access to additional functions. At the end of the trial, those functions may be disabled and the user may continue to use only the functions included in the free plan unless an appropriate licence is purchased or activated.

Prices, duration, renewals, trial conditions, cancellation, payment methods and refunds are displayed before purchase and remain subject to the terms of the distribution channel used, including Google Play.

8. Permitted use

Users agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE must not be used for:

  • unlawful or fraudulent activities;
  • unauthorised surveillance;
  • infringement of privacy or third-party rights;
  • processing data without an appropriate legal basis;
  • bypassing technical protections or security measures;
  • unauthorised modification, reverse engineering or exploitation of the software, except where mandatorily permitted by law;
  • distributing harmful, offensive or unlawful content.

9. Intellectual property

The name, trademark, software, source code, algorithms, analysis and artificial-intelligence engines, interface, graphics, design, text, documentation, structure and proprietary components of OMNIA SHIELD SUITE belong to Andrea Merluzzo or the respective rights holders.

All proprietary and exclusive rights are reserved. Third-party and open-source components remain governed by their respective licences.

10. Availability, updates and technical changes

The app may be updated, modified, suspended or made partially unavailable for technical, security, regulatory, development or compatibility reasons.

Functions, modules, interface, plans and technical requirements may change over time. Certain functions may be removed, replaced or limited when necessary to ensure security, compliance, compatibility or service quality.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, OMNIA SHIELD SUITE and its owner are not liable for damage arising from:

  • improper use or use contrary to these terms;
  • missing or incorrect configuration of the app or device;
  • missing, revoked or restricted permissions;
  • unavailability of network, GPS, external services or third-party applications;
  • operating-system or device-manufacturer restrictions;
  • false positives, false negatives or failure to detect a risk;
  • exclusive reliance on automated alerts;
  • loss, delay or failure to deliver calls, messages, notifications or location data.

OMNIA SHIELD SUITE does not guarantee detection of 100% of threats or absolute prevention of harmful events.

12. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect regulatory, technical, functional or commercial changes.

The current version is made available in the app’s Communication Centre and, where applicable, on the official website. Where required by law, users will be informed of material changes.

Use of the app after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law and applicable European Union law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights provided by the user’s jurisdiction.
