FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is OMNIA SHIELD SUITE?
It is a modular personal and family digital-security app. It includes tools for calls, SMS, authorised notifications, email, social media, cyberbullying, sensitive content, Young Protection, SOS, dashboard and statistics.
Is content sent to OMNIA servers?
Core features are designed to operate mainly on the device. OMNIA is not designed to create central archives of SMS, email, conversations, images, videos, contacts or local results.
How are SMS, email and social content analysed?
In the current version, selected modules may locally analyse information Android makes available in notifications from supported apps after the user deliberately enables Notification Access.
Does OMNIA directly read all SMS?
No. The current configuration mainly uses information made available through Android notifications and does not require broad, indiscriminate access to all conversations.
Why is Notification Access required?
It allows authorised modules to receive and locally analyse information shown in notifications from supported apps. It can be disabled at any time in Android settings.
Why are other permissions required?
Each permission is linked to a visible feature, such as contacts, location, notifications or calls. Denying or revoking it may limit the related module.
Is AI infallible?
No. Automated assessments may produce false positives and false negatives. Alerts must be reviewed by the user or a responsible adult.
Does the app automatically block content or people?
Only features explicitly configured by the user may perform actions permitted by Android. An analysis is not a certainty and does not constitute a final decision.
What happens when I disable a module?
The disabled module should no longer perform new analyses or generate new alerts. Previously stored local statistics may remain visible until deleted by the user.
How does Young Protection work?
It is a cross-module protection layer intended for supervised use by a responsible adult. It may help highlight potentially risky content and situations detected by authorised modules.
How does SOS work?
SOS may start actions configured by the user, such as calls or messages with location. Results depend on network, GPS, battery, permissions, external apps and device configuration.
Does SOS replace emergency services?
No. OMNIA is not a public emergency service and does not guarantee delivery of calls, SMS, messages or location. In immediate danger, call 112 or the competent local number.
Which plans are available?
Feature availability may depend on Free, Basic, Premium and Family plans. Current features are shown in the app's Plans and Licences page.
Is there a free trial?
A free trial with temporary access to selected features may be available. Duration, conditions and included features are shown in the app or distribution channel.
What happens when the trial ends?
Features not included in the active plan may be disabled. Users may continue with available free features or purchase the preferred plan.
Does OMNIA work on every Android phone?
Compatibility may vary according to Android version, manufacturer, battery management, permissions and device restrictions.
Why do some features stop working in the background?
Some manufacturers restrict background activity. Check battery optimisation, auto-start, Notification Access and app permissions.
Are local data retained after closing the app?
Selected preferences, counters and functional data may be stored locally on the device to preserve continuity of use.
Can I delete local data?
Available settings may allow deletion of history, cache, statistics or other local data. Uninstalling the app may remove data that has not been exported.
Does OMNIA use advertising profiling?
No. The project is not designed to sell personal data or create advertising profiles.
What is the minimum age?
Independent use is intended for adults. Minors may use the app only under the supervision and authorisation of a parent or guardian, in accordance with applicable law.
How can I report a problem?
Email info@omniashield.com with the device model, Android version, app version, affected module and steps to reproduce the issue, without sending personal content.
